Okay, so this is what went down in Nov/Dec (the abridged version):
my family fell apart (parent divorce, sister crisis etc.)
However, my lack of posting and this crisis, should not imply that I have been overwhelmed and stressed with all this family stuff. No, I have taken a different tact. I threw myself into my schoolwork, friends and actively making the best life possible for myself.
I may not have been posting, but internet, I've been LIVING. It's wonderful.
(oh and I'm not saying these things can't happen at the same time, they do and often, but I needed to stop being reflective and just DO, know what I'm saying?).
This has been an unpopular (from the fam's standpoint) choice, however, I feel like it was necessary and the right one.
I've been going on adventures, cooking a lot, got all A's for my grad first semester (woot!), and actually wake up every morning happy and grateful. (Maybe because I wake up in a fort, yes, I made my bed into a fort, but that's another post).
ANYWAY, I decided to post again yesterday (Christmas) when driving from one friend's house in CT to another. It was the early morning, the roads were empty, and I was going to spend time with people I care about. That feeling, in the car by myself singing and blaring the Gorillaz, I wanted to remember that. I wanted to post about it. I wanted to be able to look back, years from now and relive that feeling. So maybe it wasn't the typical Christmas. I didn't see my parents, I spent time with friends, not family but there was so much love. Isn't that what it all comes down to?

sick on a Friday night...
-trying to work on homework (if I'm going to stay home, might as well be productive).
-drinking tea by the gallon, just had some Thai soup.
-watching BBC America Monty Python's Flying Circus. It's HILARIOUS. All talking about ants, toupees and some random guy named Mark Ellis... pure hilarity.
-going through tissues by the box.
It may not be exciting, but it's what is going on....
